Established in 1987, Gerald Bland offers a unique collection of fine art, period and contemporary furniture as well as design services. With a formal background in 18th century decorative arts, Gerald ran the English furniture department at Sotheby’s for 10 years. For the past 20 years, he owned and managed a fine arts and antiques store at his previous location on 90th street and Madison Avenue.
His inventory has evolved to its current eclectic mix, which includes 20th century selections, as well as custom designs, all showcased in the new, larger midtown venture in The Fine Arts Building on 59th Street. One-of-a-kind pieces, created by melding antique and contemporary elements, are also on offer, alongside a selection of fine art. The carefully curated collection ranges from the late 17th to the 21st centuries, with a select group of contemporary artists, on exhibit in the gallery.
