ABOUT

Established in 1987, Gerald Bland offers a unique collection of fine art and period and contemporary furniture.  With a formal background in 18th century decorative arts, Gerald directed the English furniture department at Sotheby’s for 10 years, after which he ran Stair & Company in New York. For the past several decades, he has owned his eponymous gallery in Manhattan which moved from Madison Avenue to 59th Street in 2014.

His inventory has evolved to its current eclectic mix, which includes 20th century selections, as well as custom designs, all showcased in the larger midtown gallery on 59th Street. One-of-a-kind pieces, created by melding antique and contemporary elements, are also on offer, alongside a selection of fine art.  The carefully curated collection ranges from the late 17th to the 21st centuries, with a select group of contemporary artists, on exhibit in the gallery.
